Happy 85th Birthday!!
A Favorite Recipe:
Lora's Famous Oktoberfest Saur Kraut
Dice 4 strips raw bacon, then fry crisp.
Brown a medium diced onion in residual bacon grease.
Add drained refrigerated 1-lb package of fresh saur kraut.
Simmer 20 minutes until golden; add up to 1/2 cup water, if needed.
Thicken with 1-2 tablespoons flour; bring to a brief boil.
BRING ON THE BRATS!!
